Unfulfilled Prophecy (TGS)

Events

There are many events which must occur, because they have been seen in vision or prophecy (assuming the Dark One doesn't win)

Characters

Characters can be built up so as to seem of major importance, the suddenly killed off. This has mostly applied to villains so far, such as Carridin, Couladin and Niall, but there is no reason to suppose it can't apply to those on the hero's side, especially given Adeleas' death. Many characters, have visions involving them, which must be fulfilled before they can possibly die. These include:

• Rand (Fighting the Dark One)
• Mat (Seanchan stuff, saving the world, choosing between two Aes Sedai) (This passage needs a reference)
• Perrin (Broken crown, Trees flowering)
• Logain (Massive glory)
• Egwene (Confronting Rand)
• Elayne (On a boat with Min and Aviendha, twins)
• Aviendha (On a boat with Min and Elayne, strange children)
• Min (On a boat with Elayne and Aviendha)
• Melaine (Has daughters)
• Nesune (Founds a library and gets acclaim)
• Cadsuane (Teaches the Asha'man something - possibly in progress)
• Faolain (Not an unpleasant future)
• Thom (Rescues Moiraine)
• Moiraine (Needed for Rand to win)
• Siuan (Will be OK if she sticks with Gareth Byrne)
• Gareth Bryne (Will be OK if he sticks with Siuan)
• Gawyn (Bonded to Egwene)
• Carlinya (Caught by the Seanchan)
• Caraline (Outlives Darlin)
• Darlin (Dies in bed after Caraline leads him a chase before they marry)
• Sarene (Love affair)
