Marac is an Illianer nobleman and a member of the Council of Nine. He is a new member of the Council, probably the replacement of Lord Brend (Sammael).
He is a wide man and has a stolid manner. Rand thinks that he often seems to be more a craftsman than a lord, despite the rich silks and lace that he wears.
When Rand goes to deal with the leftover men who were loyal to Sammael/Lord Brend, Marac is one of the many nobles to accompany him.
