General

Elisa al'Vere is one of Egwene's sisters. Her parents are Bran and Marin al'Vere, and her other sisters are Berowyn, Loise and Alene.

She is eighteen, a year older than Nynaeve, but still wears her hair tied in a blue kerchief.

She does not understand why the Women's Circle still thinks she is too young, and frets a lot over it.

She is present at the annual sheep shearing, making a bad job of folding fleece.

When Egwene tries to soothe her by comparing her to Cilia Cole, who is twenty and also has her hair unbraided, she is abashed and angrily sends Egwene away.
