Bel Tine 2021 Launch - New Beginnings

Once a year we get to welcome a new season; it’s a time of regrowth and a time for New Beginnings. Many of us see this season as a time to make a change, to declutter our homes, or make new resolutions about the year. But no matter what happens, it’s hard to deny the fresh scent that spring, and Bel Tine, bring to us. It’s hard to deny the magic of seeing trees that have been dormant for so long open their buds, and blossom to provide us shade and comfort from the oncoming wave of heat.

In choosing the theme for Bel Tine this year, the Outreach Activities Team decided to go back to the roots of Bel Tine. When we were all first introduced to the Wheel of Time, we began with Rand and Bel Tine. Even though it was ruined, it was the start of a new world. It began to build us up and brought us all into the series, and eventually this community. Robert Jordan even gave us the most famous line to reel us in, “The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

In years past, TarValon.Net has always celebrated Bel Tine just as the seasons began to change. To welcome in the season not just within our lives, but in the family we have found here on the board. This year, the Outreach Activities Team hopes to bring a new beginning to every member. Presenting many of the beloved activities, and a few new ones to try and bring us together as a community. We can’t wait to see you in the Faire Ground forum and we hope you all enjoy everything that Bel Tine has to offer; there might even be a surprise for everyone!
