The Damona Mountains are a mountain range in Altara, close to the border with Murandy, formed during the Breaking of the World. Like most ranges created then, there are few safe passages through them (KoD, Ch. 25).
The Malvide Narrows
The Malvide Narrows is a five mile gap in the mountains where the road from Ebou Dar to Lugard passed, with the Malvaine Gap on the other side. When the only pass through the Damona Mountains that Vanin knew was blocked in a landslide, Mat was forced to go through the Narrows (KoD, Ch. 26).
