General

The Darter is a river vessel with a fat hull. It moves with a twisting roll that is even more apparent when under sail rather than when it is under sweeps. The captain is a man named Canin.

Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne travel aboard from Jurene to Tear posing under the false names, Joslyn, Maryim and Caryla. The motion of the ship means that Egwene and Nynaeve spend most of the journey ill and the captain is eager to be rid of them once they arrive at Tear.
