Thursday was the annual Dragon Con "pre-party." After many of us had arrived, we all went to Max Lager's for dinner, during which we survived dubious service from several directions.

After that, we held the actual pre-party itself in the Amyrlin's hotel room. There was much toasting and conversation, and after running...err...escorting the mass of people out of our room in the early morning hours, the rest of us grabbed some sleep.

Friday, all of the Con activities kicked in in earnest. The panels were interesting, and that night several of the Tar Valon folks joined members from other WoT communities for a lovely dinner at Steak & Ale with Charles Keegan. During this occasion, it was concluded that salmon and steak go together like peas and carrots.

Saturday brought several interesting events. In the morning we had the Dragon Con parade. I got to play the role of press for our group, snapping several pictures and navigating crowded sidewalks through downtown Atlanta. Much fun.

Back at the hotel, I finally got to snap a picture of an exceptionally classy woman dressed as Yuna, from Final Fantasy X, alongside a Lulu. I was a happy camper.

On Sunday we had several members enter the WoT Costume Contest, many of whom placed in the competition. Our own Da'mas won first place with his Mat Cauthon outfit.

Monday saw a general amount of teary hugs and farewells, and promises to meet again soon.

All in all, it was a fabulous event and a good time was had by all.
