Aleis Barsalla: The First Counsel of Far Madding. She loses a great deal of power when Cadsuane forces her to free Rand following his capture within the city.

Cadsuane Melaidhrin: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah. She took no part in the Tower split and spent the time with Rand until he temporarily exiled her for allowing Semirhage to access the Domination Band. She survived the Last Battle and replaced Egwene al'Vere as Amyrlin Seat

Cumere Powys: One of the thirteen Counsels.

Cyprien: One of the thirteen Counsels.

Eadwin: A man from Far Madding. Verin would have married him had she not become Aes Sedai.

Einion Avharin: A historical character; she was a famous Counsel of Far Madding. There is a market named after her in the city, and also a statue of her.

Escaralde: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah.

Milsa: A woman who lives in Far Madding. She is married to Zeram and lives on Blue Carp Street.

Mistress Gallger: The owner of an inn named The Golden Wheel.

Mistress Keene: The owner of an inn named The Counsel’s Head.

Mistress Nalhera: The owner of an inn named The Crown of Maredo.

Mistress Shimel: A merchant.

Narvais Maslin: One of the thirteen Counsels.

Nethvin: A historical character; she was a famous Counsel of Far Madding. There is a market in the city named after her.

Raolin Darksbane: A False Dragon who lived around 335 AB, when Far Madding was known by the name Aren Mador.

Romanda Cassin: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah. She was head of the Yellows with the Rebel Aes Sedai and a Sitter. She retained her seat on reunification and was killed by the Sharans in the Last Battle.

Savion Amhara: A historical character; she was a famous Counsel of Far Madding. There is a market named after her in the city, and also a statue of her.

Sybaine: One of the thirteen Counsels.

Verin Mathwin: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah. She was exiled from the city for some reason. She was also a member of the Black Ajah and committed suicide so that she could give Egwene detailed information on them.

Yurian Stonebow: A False Dragon who lived around 1300 AB, when Far Madding was known by the name Fel Moreina.

Zeram: A bootmaker. He is married to Milsa and lives on Blue Carp Street.
