Overview

The Guild Coordinator is an staff position in the Department of Online Events. The position includes calendaring responsibilities, rallying the Guild Leaders to come up with event activities, and generally keeping an eye on things while encouraging participation.

Position Level: Staff

Department: Department of Online Events

Rotation: 6 month rotation

Merit Eligibility: Staff Merit

Chain of Command

The Guild Coordinator reports to the Director of Online Events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in Guild discussions.
  • Manage the guild activity and moderate the Guilds and Greater Guild Hall for compliance with the Code of Conduct.
  • Work with the Director of Online Events to create events to occur virtually or in conjunction with real life events.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Membership to promote and publicize events.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Online Events, as this is a new role.

Requirements

  • Must be a member in good standing within the Tower for at least 6 months.
  • Must be able to lead and coordinate activities effectively with a team.
  • Maintain activity/availability on the Boards and Discord.
  • Be flexible and willing to collaborate.

History

The first hiring post for this position was posted on June 18, 2022. It became vacant at the end of March 2023. One year later it was opened up for hiring again, having been changed from a non-rotating Administrator position into a 6 month staff position.
