Adan: A Da'shain Aiel during the Breaking of the World and Rand's ancestor; Jonai and Alnora's son and Esole and Willim's brother. Together with his wife Siedre he had five children, Elwin, Jaren, Marind, Rhea and Sorelle. He was young when his father received the instruction to lead the items of the One Power and the Aiel to safety.

Alijha: A young Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World; Nerrine's son; Charlin and Colline's brother. After freeing Colline and Lewin's sister Maigran from the hands of bandits, he was expelled from his family, because they killed the villains.

Alnora: A woman of the Da'shain Aiel and a Dreamer during the Breaking of the World; Jonai's wife; Adan, Esole and Willim's mother.

Charendin: A sept chief during the construction of Rhuidean. He was Mandein's enemy.

Charlin: A young Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World; Nerrine's son; Charlin and Colline's brother. He died during the attempt to free Colline and Lewin's sister Maigran.

Charn: A Da'shain Aiel during the Age of Legends; he served Mierin Sedai, before she turned to the Shadow and was killed for it by townspeople later.

Colline: A young Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World; Nerrine's daughter; Alijha and Charlin's sister. She and Lewin's sister Maigran were kidnapped during a raid and her brothers and their friends rescued them from the villains.

Comran: An Aiel during the Breaking of the World and Rand's ancestor; Rhodric's great-son; Mandein's great-father.

Coumin: A Da'shain Aiel during the War of the Shadow and Rand's ancestor; Charn's great-son and Jonai's father.

Dermon: A Jenn Aiel during the construction of Rhuidean. He is among the Jenn to prepare the Aiel sept chiefs to keep the history of the Aiel alive.

Elwin: A young Da'shain Aiel; Adan and Siedre's son; Jaren, Marind, Rhea and Sorelle's brother. He died of hunger.

Esole: A young Da'shain Aiel during the Breaking of the World; Jonai and Alnora's daughter; Adan and Willim's sister. She was young when his father received the instruction to lead the items of the One Power and the Aiel to safety.

Gearan: A young Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World. With his friend he rescued their sisters from the hands of bandits. Because they killed the villains, he was rejected by his family.

Jaren: A young Da'shain Aiel; Adan and Siedre's son; Elwin, Marind, Rhea and Sorelle's brother. He threw himself off a cliff when he learned he could channel.

Jeordam: An Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World and Rand's ancestor; Lewin's son and Rhodric's great-father. He and his family guarded the Jenn Aiel on their journey.

Jonai: A Da'shain Aiel during the Breaking of the World and Rand's ancestor; Alnora's husband; Adan, Esole and Willim's father. Solinda Sedai gives him the task of leading items of the One Power and the Aiel to safety.

Kirin: A child of the Jenn Aiel who lived shortly after the Breaking; Morin's daughter. She is kidnapped during a raid.

Lewin: A Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World; Adan and Siedre's great-son; Marind and Saralin's son; Maigran's brother; Jeordam's father. After freeing Maigran and Colline from the hands of bandits, he was expelled from his family, because they killed the villains.

Luca: A young Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World. With his friend he rescued their sisters from the hands of bandits. Because they killed the villains, he was rejected by his family.

Maigran: A young Jenn Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World; Marind and Saralin’s daughter; Lewin's sister. After she is kidnapped in a raid, her brother wants to rescue her. He is cast out by their second greatfather Adan, because he killed a man while freeing Maigran.

Mandein: An Aiel sept chief; he was also one of Rand's ancestors. He was married to Siedre. He was the first Aiel to go to Rhuidean for the testing to become clan chief.

Marind: A Jenn Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World. His parents are Adan and Siedre; his siblings are Elwin, Jaren, Rhea and Sorelle. He is married to Saralin and has two children, Lewin and Maigran. He is killed during a raid.

Mordaine: A Jenn Aiel during the construction of Rhuidean. She is among the Jenn to prepare the Aiel sept chiefs to keep the history of the Aiel alive.

Morin: A woman of the Jenn Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World; the first Maiden of the Spear, a Dreamer and Rand's ancestor. Her daughter was Kirin.

Nalla: A Da'shain Aiel at the end of the Age of Legends. She served Zorelle Sedai and wanted to marry Charn.

Narisse: A Jenn Aiel during the construction of Rhuidean. She is among the Jenn to prepare the Aiel sept chiefs to keep the history of the Aiel alive.

Nerrine: A Jenn Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World; Alijha, Charlin and Colline's mother. She rejects Alijha after he killed bandits while freeing his sister from their hands.

Rhea: A Da'shain Aiel; Adan and Siedre's daughter; Elwin, Jaren, Marind and Sorelle's sister. She was taken away during a raid.

Rhodric: An Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World and Rand's ancestor; Jeordam's great-son; Comran's greatfather. His family guarded the Jenn Aiel on their journey.

Saralin: A Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World and Rand's ancestor; Marind's wife; Lewin and Maigran's mother. She rejects her son after he killed bandits while freeing his sister from their hands.

Sealdre: A Wise One and Dreamer during the construction of Rhuidean; Mandein's wife and Rand's ancestor.

Siedre: A Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World and Rand's ancestor; Adan's wife; Elwin, Jaren, Marind, Rhea and Sorelle's mother; Lewin and Maigran's great-mother. She is killed during a raid.

Sorelle: A young Da'shain Aiel and a Dreamer; Adan and Siedre's daughter; Elwin, Jaren, Marind and Rhea's sister. She died of a fever.

Sulwin: A Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World. He became one of the first Tuatha'an.

Willim: A Da'shain Aiel during the Breaking of the World; Alnora and Jonai's son; Adan and Esole's brother. He was sent away by his family, because he could channel.
