General

Leanna Mandragoran was the last Queen of Malkier and the wife of al'Akir. She was Lan Mandragoran's mother (TEotW, Ch. 47).

When Malkier was about to fall, al'Akir and el'Leanna placed the sword of the Malkieri kings in Lan's hands, anointed him a Diademed Battle Lord and swore the ancient oath of the Malkieri kings and queens in his name. As a gift, el'Leanna put a locket containing the painted image of them around his neck. Lan later considers it as the most precious thing he received from his parents (NS, Ch. 16; TEotW, Ch. 47).

They then commanded twenty of the best swordsmen from the King's Bodyguard to see the child safe to Fal Moran (TEotW, Ch. 47).

She died at Herot's Crossing when leading the armies against the Shadow alongside her husband (TEotW, Ch. 47).
