Mada is a serving girl at The Woman of Tanchico in Tar Valon. She is pretty with big, brown eyes. She looks nearly identical to Saal, another serving girl, though somewhat older, so Mat suspects that they are sisters.
She knows Thom from his stay at the inn and is never pleased to see him drown his sorrow in alcoholic beverages.
When Mat enters the inn and Thom joins him at the table, she serves them three chickens.
