General

Resara is Leane Sharif's aunt, and therefore a Domani woman. She is likely dead, because Leane speaks of her in the past tense.

Leane says that her mother used to say that if a man hears more promises than you mean to offer, and expects to have them fulfilled, you have miscalculated badly, and that if there is no way out, you must either abandon your dignity and run, or else pay the price and use it as a lesson. Her aunt Resara would say that you should pay the price and enjoy it.
