Shaemal was the Ogier built capital of Coremanda (TWoRJTWoT, Ch. 10), famed for a great crystal dome in the court (LoC, Ch. 5). The Ogier also build a Waygate there (LoC, Ch. 20).
None of the current major cities were built on its remains and its location is unknown, though as Mat has a memory of dancing there with a Sea Folk ambassador, it may be that it was on one of the major rivers accessible by Sea Folk ships (LoC, Ch. 5).
Birgitte was caught spying on Aes Sedai there once and found the experience very unpleasant (LoC, Ch. 12).
