Snelle is a gambler who plays dice with Mat at The Dusty Wheel. Mat tells him and his buddies that he doesn't know the game so when he rolls five ones they tell Mat that he lost when he knows he didn't. After Mat asks the room about the game an no one answers he tells Mat he shouldn't have been gambling on a game he didn't know. His friend Rittle recognizes Mat and tells Snelle who he is and they all leave quickly.
