Tava is a distant descendant of Aviendha and Rand. During Aviendha's visions of the future in the glass columns ter'angreal in Rhuidean, Aviendha sees Tava's Hold destroyed in a Seanchan raid. Rowahn is her father and Norlesh is her granddaughter.
