Laundry.

It's a never-ending task. Even if you've washed everything in the house, you're still wearing clothes, right? (And even if you literally washed the clothes you had on... you're still going to have to put something else on eventually.....) Anyway, I've been on a laundry rampage at my house for what feels like years. And we've only lived there for 18 months. Sorting into piles, washing, folding....

And matching socks.

The husband and I have a fundamental disagreement regarding socks.

He has white socks and black socks. And he wants to go through and match them up and fold them together so that, when he gets dressed, he can just grab a pair and go.

I have many different colors of ankle socks. I put them all in a drawer and just grab two when I need them. (Granted, I work with kids, and they like seeing what I've come up with each day.) But when I need to have a matching pair, it doesn't take me any more time to find them in the drawer than it would take me to match and fold them in the first place.

So, Tar Valon, I ask you THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION:

Is matching and folding socks a waste of time?
