Chapter 16: Unexpected Absences

Toral Delvar

Characters: Aran'gar, Carlinya, Egwene, Sheriam, Siuan

Setting: Murandy, close to the border with Andor

Point of view: Egwene, Aran'gar, Sheriam

Egwene convenes the Hall to tell them they are stopping a few days. She receives papers detailing their shortage of money and the Sitters plans to deal with it

Aran'gar hides a corpse, possibly Selame.

Lelaine and Romanda both come to see Egwene and argue with each other about the Bowl of Winds having being used. Siuan gives her reports of Selame going missing and soldiers moving out of the Borderlands. She tells Egwene that she thinks there is a pattern in the ages of the new Sitters in Salidar - they are too young but she doesn't know why. Lelaine and Romanda return, having learned of a noble encampment in their way and each demand to be given control of the discussions.

Sheriam returns to her tent, where she is beaten by an unknown character for not revealing to her what Egwene is up to.
