Verine was an Accepted of the White Tower. She was a pale young woman.
Verine was watching a storeroom in the Tower - the one where dangerous items were kept - when Padan Fain stole the ruby dagger that Mat had previously removed from Shadar Logoth. She realised that someone was in the storeroom - there was a weave set on the lock - and went to investigate. Fain cut her with the dagger and she died.
