Warders wear ribbons
In Tar Valon, they say.
They shine in the sun
On a bright summer's day.

Warders wear ribbons
When out in the snow
So Greens can see Warders
Wherever they go.

Warders wear ribbons
While reading a book
Though Browns would still like them
However they look.

Warders wear ribbons
To please their dear White
And brighten her theories
Of Shadow and Light.

Warders wear ribbons
When out in the woods
So Yellows can find them
To carry plant goods.

Warders wear ribbons
When bonded a Gray
And cheer up tense meetings
With the small talk they say.

Warders wear ribbons
When riding with Blues
In fighting for cause, he's
So dapper, can't lose.

Warders wear ribbons
Though Reds always stare
And wonder 'bout that thing
He wears in his hair.

Warders wear ribbons
When out on the field
Their hair is so lovely
That opponents must yield.

Warders wear ribbons
While taking a bath
For the Sister who loves him
Would never dare laugh.

Warders wear ribbons
When they lay down for bed
For if sleep is broken
They'll be fighting instead.

No Warders wear ribbons
When down at the bar
For that would be going
Just a little too far!
