Aledrin: "Despite dark yellow hair of a silky texture and large, liquid brown eyes, the Taraboner White fell short of pretty, but she had a good head on her shoulders, which was far more important." (KoD, Ch. 23) Originally from Tarabon, Aledrin went to Salidar after the split of the White Tower, where she became a Sitter for the White Ajah. In this function, she stood for Egwene as Amyrlin as well as voting in favour of war with Elaida and an alliance with the Black Tower. (CoT, Ch. 19) An Accepted during the events of New Spring, she is the second youngest of the uncommonly young Sitters appointed in Salidar after the split.

Alviarin Freidhen: "Slim and cool-faced, Alviarin wore the Keeper's narrow stole in white, matching her dress, to show she had been raised from the White, but in her mouth "Mother" became less a title of respect, and more an address to an equal."(ACoS, Prologue) An integral part of the group that deposed Siuan Sanche Alviarin became Keeper of the Chronicles under Elaida. Alviarin additionally heads the Black Ajah in Tar Valon - a position she was granted when Ishamael killed her predecessor Jarna Malari, though most recently she has reported to Mesaana and Shadar Haran. Having found herself replaced as of Keeper (after having abusing Elaida and visiting Tremalking), Alviarin is, as of Knife of Dreams, in disgrace with her Ajah and having to serve a penance with the Mistress of Novices Silviana.

Aliane Senican: Amyrlin Seat 332-355 NE, raised from the White Ajah.

Astrelle: "Astrelle swelled up, and since she was a plump woman with a formidable bosom, she could swell impressively." (KoD, Prologue) An arithmetist who sided with the White Tower after the split, she and Tesan are the Aes Sedai Alviarin sees arguing about the statistical methods of Radun and Covanen in Knife of Dreams.

Ayako Norsoni: "Sandomere's captive was Ayako Norsoni, a diminutive White with wavy waist-length black hair who was nearly as brown-skinned as a Domani. She seemed shy, a rarity among Aes Sedai." (KoD, Ch20) Having sided with the White Tower after the split, Ayako was one of fifty Aes Sedai sent with Toveine to destroy the Black Tower, which according to Alviarin proves she is not a member of the Black Ajah. Being the only Aes Sedai of her Ajah to go on this mission, Ayako is responsible for sending reports on the situation back to the White Ajah. (KoD, Prologue) Her Warder is Donalo Sandomere.

Berana: "Berana, face a mask of haughtiness and big brown eyes as cold as snow, paused to offer cool courtesies to Egwene and frown at Akarrin." (CoT Chp19) A Sitter for the White Ajah in Salidar, Berana voted for war with Elaida and an alliance with the Black Tower. She is one of the Sitters in Salidar thought to be uncommonly young to hold such a position.

Bernaile Gelbarn: "...but here she was scurrying down the hallway with only Bernaile Gelbarn, a stocky Taraboner and one of Meidani's jackdaws, for company." (CoT,Prologue) Described as being stocky with braided hair, Bernaile is one of ten sent by Sheriam to spy in Tar Valon for Salidar and help spread the tale about Logain’s set-up by the Red Ajah (ACoS, Ch8 and TPoD, Ch26).

Beryl Marle: Amyrlin Seat 520-533 NE, raised from the White Ajah.

Brendas: "Brendas' voice was chimes, as emotionless as her pale face. Whites seldom showed emotion, but Brendas never showed any." (LoC, Ch29) One of the Aes Sedai who was an Accepted in New Spring, Brendas took part in the Healing of Mat in The Shadow Rising. She sides with Salidar after the split with the White Tower and is, according to Siuan, a woman who can be trusted and one of the few Aes Sedai who has not interrogated Nynaeve about Rand.

Carlinya: "She was never a warm woman, but now the ringlets that stopped well short of her shoulders framed a face that seemed carved from ice nearly as pale as her dress." (KoD, Ch1) An Accepted in New Spring, Carlinya sided with Salidar where she now sits on the Ruling Council, an offence for which Elaida wants to see her stilled as an example. Carlinya is extremely ambitious and was one of the Aes Sedai who accompanied Siuan on the latter’s trip to Fal Dara in The Great Hunt. Min had a viewing of a raven tattoo that pertains to her, but does not yet know the meaning of it. Carlinya has not bonded a Warder.

Daigian Moseneilline: "...a plump, pale woman who wore a thin silver chain in her long black hair, with a round moonstone dangling in the middle of her forehead. Her dark Cairhienin dress bore four thin stripes of colour across the bodice, and she had added slashes in the skirts, white for her Ajah." (ACoS, Ch19) Originally from one of the lesser Cairhienin Houses, Daigian is an extremely weak Aes Sedai and spent the longest time in Tower memory as novice and Accepted before finally earning the shawl. She has allied herself with Cadsuane and in A Crown of Swords bonded Eben Hopwill (who died in Winter’s Heart).

Falion Bhoda: "For all of her ageless face, handsome was the best that Falion could be called, and even that might be stretching the truth, with her cold gaze and a colder manner in the bargain." (CoT, Ch15) Originally from Kandor, Falion ran away from the White Tower when still a novice and made it all the way to Ebu Dar before she was caught and returned. In addition to being a sister of the White, Falion is also one of the thirteen Aes Sedai who exposed themselves as members of the Black Ajah by stealing ter'angreal and fleeing the White Tower in The Dragon Reborn.

Fera: When Fera and Elza Penfell are travelling companions on the journey from Tar Valon to Cairhien in Crossroads of Twilight, they discover that each other are Black Ajah. Having been taken prisoner by the Asha’man at Dumai's Wells in Crossroads of Twilight, Fera has since sworn fealty to Rand.

Ferane Neheran: "Short and stout, wit her usually mild round face and an ink smudge on her nose, Ferane was no one's image of a Domani, but the First Reasoner possessed a fierce Domani temper." (KoD, Prologue) Having originally served as a Sitter and retiring ten years ago, Ferane sided with the White Tower after the split and was reinvested in her former position. She additionally serves as First Reasoner of the White Ajah in Tar Valon. Based on an observation by Alviarin that Galina Casban was the only head of an Ajah to also be a member of the Black, it would seem that Ferane is not Black Ajah.

Meilyn Arganya: Bonded to Andro, Meilyn was one of the searchers Tamra Ospenya sent to find the Dragon Reborn in New Spring. Siuan hid in Meilyn’s quarters to await a private audience with her the night of Meilyn’s death and so knew that though official word said Meilyn died during her sleep, she was in fact murdered by the Black Ajah (NS, Ch5).

Merym: Having sided with the White Tower after the split, Merym is one of the Aes Sedai who capture Egwene at Southharbour in Knife of Dreams

Miyasi: "...Miyasi, tall and plump with iron-gray hair, a stern woman who brooked no nonsense and saw nonsense everywhere." (KoD, Ch24) Having sided with the White Tower after the split, Miyasi is one of three Aes Sedai Egwene encounters guarding Leane's White Tower cell in Knife of Dreams.

Nagora: "...Nagora, a lean woman with pale hair worn in a roll on her nape who sat very straight to make up for her lack of stature..." (KoD, Ch24) Having sided with the White Tower after the split, Nagora is one of the three Aes Sedai Egwene encounters guarding Leane's White Tower cell in Knife of Dreams.

Norine Dovarna: "...Norine, lovely with her large liquid eyes but often as vague as any Brown..." (KoD, Ch24) Having sided with the White Tower after the split, Norine is one of the three Aes Sedai Egwene encounters guarding Leane's White Tower cell in Knife of Dreams. Norine resents Alviarin and covets her position as Keeper of the Chronicles, frequently directing cutting remarks at the other woman.

Rabayn Marushta: Amyrlin Seat 5-36 NE, raised from the White Ajah.

Ramesa: "Ramesa, a tall slender woman with silver bells sewn down the sleeves of her white-embroidered dress, looked startled at being addressed, and likely she was." (KoD, Prologue) Having sided with the White Tower after the split, Ramesa is one of the Aes Sedai who enjoys making cutting remarks at Alviarin's expense after the latter’s fall from grace in Knife of Dreams.

Rianna Andomeran: "As for Rianna Andomeran....Black hair with a stark white streak above her left ear framed a face with the cold, arrogant certainty only a White could assume." (TSR, Ch38) Originally from Kandor, Rianna, in addition to being a member of the White, is also one of the thirteen Black sisters who exposed themselves by stealing ter'angreal and fleeing the White Tower in The Dragon Reborn. Skilled at killing using the One Power, Rianna is the Black Ajah member who Falion, another former White, prefers to work with the most.

Sarene Nemdahl: "Sarene is like most Whites - she reasons everything out logically, and sometimes she seems surprised when somebody acts from the heart - yet she has a temper. Most of the time she keeps it tightly bottled, but put a foot wrong at the wrong time and she can...snap your nose off before you can blink."(LoC, Ch25) Originally from Tarabon, Sarene was an Accepted in New Spring and later sided with the White Tower after the split. She is a little younger than Moraine and is part of the delegation Elaida sends to Rand in Lord of Chaos. After being captured by the Asha'man at Dumai's Wells, Sarene has since sworn fealty to Rand. In addition to the cold logic associated with a typical White, she has a secret vice - writing poetry about her Warder Vitalien.

Saroiya: "Saroiya called out with no sign of the vaunted White Ajah deserve, hands knotted in her shawl, she trembled so hard that the long snowy fringe swayed." (CoT, Ch19) Originally from Arad Doman, Saroiya sided with Salidar after the split now serves as a Sitter for the Salidar White Ajah. She has allied herself with Romanda, whose lead she followed in standing for Egwene as Amyrlin and against a war with the White Tower. Saroiya is one of several Aes Sedai who wish to negotiate with Elaida, and is violently opposed to the idea of an alliance with the Black Tower. In Knife of Dreams she is still opposed to bonding Asha'man as Warders.

Seaine Herimon: "Her blue eyes held warmth, yet otherwise she was back to being the prototypical White, a woman of icy serenity." (KoD, Prologue) Originally hailing from Lugard, Seaine is thought to be around 160 years old. Though she stayed in the White Tower after the split, she did not initially support Elaida and was the Aes Sedai who originally suggested Siuan for the Amyrlin Seat Marith Jaen’s death. Elaida ordered Seaine to find traitors within the White Tower, which Seaine interpreted to mean the Black Ajah. Having recruited her long-time friend Pevarra to the cause, the two have made several allies in the search and have uncovered several Black Ajah cells, as well as the spies sent from Salidar to spread rumours of the Red Ajah's dealings with Logain. They have forced these spies to swear Oaths of loyalty and to aid the search for darkfriends. After learning in Knife of Dreams that Elaida meant her to uncover treachery by Alviarin, Seaine and her group have become even more cautious.

Sereille Bagand: Mistress of Novices and a sister of the White before being raised to the Amyrlin Seat 866 - 890 NE. Egwene is often referred to as “becoming as tough as Sereille Bagand,” who thought that Vandene was too harsh a taskmistress when teaching Novices.

Shana: "As is was, only Shana, a pop-eyed White who reminded Elayne of a fish, went as far as opening her mouth further..." (LoC, Ch40) Having sided with Salidar after the split, Shana - said to be rather weak in the power - is an expert at reading residues, and for that reason is part of the party sent to investigate the site where an immense quantity of saidar was used at Shadar Logoth in Crossroads of Twilight.

Tesan: "Tesan cut her off, beaded braids clicking as she shook her head." (KoD,Prologue) Originally from Tarabon, Tesan sided with the White Tower after the split. She is an arithmetist, and she and Astrelle are the Aes Sedai Alviarin sees arguing about the statistical methods devised of Radun and Covanen in Knife of Dreams.

Turanna Norill: One of the Aes Sedai taken captive by at Dumai's Wells in Lords of Chaos, Turanna is given instructions via Compulsion by Verin who interrogated her about the White Tower’s intentions toward Rand. Turanna has no Warder.

Valinde Nathenos: "...stout Valinde Nathenos on the left in her white- fringed shawl and white dress." (LoC, Ch49) Originally from Illian, Valinde sided with Salidar after the split and is a part of their delegation to Rand.

Velina: "...Velina was saying in a voice cool and precise but almost girlishly high-pitched, a voice at strong odds with her eagle's beak of a nose and her sharp, tilted eyes. She sat for the White, and was the very model of a White sister, in all but her fierce appearance." (TpoD, Ch25) Originally from Saldea, Velina was a Sitter of the Hall before the split, and has remained a Sitter in Tar Valon. She seems to be afraid of Alviarin and does not believe in the existence of a'dam.

Zerah Dacan: "Zerah Dacan was a slim, black-haired girl with a prideful air, properly self-possessed, and by all outward evidence untouched by the heated currents flowing through the Tower these days"(TPoD, Ch26) Zerah sided with Salidar after the split and is one of ten Aes Sedai sent to spy in Tar Valon and spread rumours of the Red Ajah's dealings with Logain. She was uncovered by Seaine and Pevarra, who forced her to swear an Oath of allegiance, give up the names of her fellow conspirators, and to aid in the hunt for the Black Ajah. By Seaine's reckoning, Zerah has worn the shawl for less than fifty years.
