General
Caraighan Maconar was a legendary Aes Sedai, considered by the Greens to be the archetype of a Green sister. She lived from 212 AB to 373 AB (during the Compact of Ten Nations). She is credited with achievements that most people, even some Aes Sedai, consider to be unlikely (LoC, Glossary).
Miscellaneous
- Caraighan once brought a man to the White Tower to be gentled after he killed her two Warders. It was a journey of nearly two thousand miles and she did it on her own, despite the custom of thirteen sisters escorting a male channeler (LoC, Ch. 54).
- Caraighan is credited with stopping the Comaidin Riots and putting down a rebellion in Mosadorin (LoC, Glossary).
- One of Caraighan's Warders was Lord Mangore Kiramin, the Sword-bard of Aramaelle (ACoS, Ch. 41).
- There is a mural of her ending a rebellion in Mosadarin. It changes location and the images in it change (TGS, Ch. 2).
