Mistress Keene is the innkeeper of The Counsel's Head in Far Madding. She has a pointed chin and wears her white hair in a bun.
She has a suspicious and disapproving look, which makes Rand certain that she would have no customers at all if the accommodation and meals were not as enjoyable as they are.
