This new calendar was established to celebrate the freedom from the Trolloc threat, although the starting point was only speculated; the debates regarding which year of the Toman Calendar should be considered FY 1 last until our time.
In the first twenty years after the end of the Trolloc Wars, the Gazaran Calendar rose to great popularity and remained in use until after the War of the Hundred Years, when the Farede Calendar was created to replace it.
