Mistress Alstaing is a merchant from Tarabon. She wears the typical beaded braids.
In The White Ring, in Maderin, she drinks wine and dices with three Altaran merchants. She wants to buy some lacquerware. Mistress Alstaing is pretty drunk when Mat asks if he can join in for a game of dice. However, she is the first to agree, but she grows suspicious over Mat's luck.
