Tzora

Tzora was one of the great cities of the Age of Legends, before the Breaking of the World. Even though it was the smallest of the great cities, it was known for its "multihued glass towers, in a wide variety of geometric shapes, which glittered like jewels in the sun" (TWoRJTWoT).

During the Breaking of the World, Tzora was one of the sites of great havoc wreaked by a male Aes Sedai. When Jaric Mondoran, one of the mad male Aes Sedai, arrived at Tzora, ten thousand Da'shain Aiel stood there, with linked arms, singing in an attempt to remind Jaric of who he was, and who they were. He only stared at them as if they were a puzzle, and killed them, while they continued to sing. Once the Da'shain Aiel were dead, Jaric burned Tzora, until a sheet of glass was all that remained of the city (TSR, Ch. 26).

This memory of Tzora being destroyed comes from when Rand viewed the history of the Aiel people; during this memory, Tzora is mentioned to have been the second greatest city in the world, even though "The World of Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time"" claims that it was the smallest of the great cities. Perhaps the mention of "the second greatest city in the world" refers to its beauty, or to a personal preference.
