General
Samalin is Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah. She sides with the Salidar Aes Sedai and becomes a Sitter (LoC, Ch. 35).
She has a sharp face and a mannish stride, but she is not awkward (LoC, Ch. 35; COT: 19). She is from Murandy (CoT, Ch. 19).
Timeline
- The Salidar Sitters, including Samalin, raise Egwene to the Amyrlin Seat. Samalin does not stand on the first vote, but does on the second (LoC, Ch. 35).
- Samalin votes "Yes" to declare war against Elaida (TPoD, Ch. 19).
- The Salidar Sitters meet to hear the report on what happened at Shadar Logoth; Samalin votes "Yes" to make an alliance with the Black Tower (CoT, Ch. 19).
- Samalin votes "Yes" to Rand's proposal that the Salidar Aes Sedai bond forty-seven Asha'man (KoD, Ch. 23).
