Interview Questions
Have you modded any games at Tar Valon? If so, what ones?
I've modded one game of Mafia in the Blue Halls, with the theme of Clue. It was pretty small -- only eight players, and no really fancy roles -- but it was really fun, and a good way to figure out how to be a Mod.
I'm really excited to mod my first 'official' Mafia game, which will hopefully be this year, but will probably end up starting in 2016, judging by the length of the list. :lol The theme will be Shakespeare Heroes and Villains, and I'm expecting it to be a very twisty game. I hope everyone signs up! (/shameless plug)
What is your favourite game that you have played here?
Hmmm. I've died pretty quickly in a bunch of games -- Eli's zombie one was looking to be my favourite until I got offed on Night 2. :p I really enjoyed the theme and structure of the Harry Potter mafia, though -- it wasn't perfect (the Imperius really helped win the game for us, and the Undercover Cop role wasn't used like it could have been because RL got in the way of that player's activity), but I survived to the end and my team won, so that was pretty cool. :D
Do you prefer to be town or mafia?
Mafia, by far. I think I'm really good as Mafia, but really terrible as Town -- I have a lot to learn!
What is your favourite role?
Oh, man. There are so many that I haven't been able to play as, since I think I'm still a relatively new player, so I'm going to answer the question indirectly. As mafia, I'd most like to try Roleblocker; as Village, Hider; and as third person -- well, I'd really love to try to be a Serial Killer in any game!
In terms of utilizing as a mod -- I think that the modified cop roles would be the most fun!
Who is your favourite person to lynch and why?
Zashara, because I've trusted her one too many times. :lol Sadly, she's pretty useful as Town, so I can't just vote for her right off the bat each time... and now you can't assume we're both mafia if I don't vote for her Day 1. :D
Mafia tidbit of the month:
Bastard mod games – These are games in which the win condition isn’t to defeat the other team but to defeat the mod. Win conditions are always some mechanic to the game. E.g. Lynch the game mod to win. Hints may be dropped, or the mod may tell you outright that it is a bastard mod game.
