Nynaeve explains to Elayne that women who can channel would know of any cache of ter'angreal, though Elayne says any such group would have been shut down by the Tower. They are taken to a house and can feel women channeling inside. Once inside, Reanne is angry with Setalle for bringing them, but both Reanne and Setalle apologise to each other. Nynaeve is shocked that Reanne is strong in the Power. More women who can channel arrive and Elayne begins to accept there is a guild. They are shielded and questioned and Reanne accepts they went to the Tower, but not that they are Aes Sedai. After continuing to insist they are, the women tell them they cannot help and tell them to leave town.
