Characters: Harine, Merana, Min, Rafela, Rand

Setting: Cairhien

Point of view: Rand

Rand leads a procession of Cairhienen, Aiel and five of the Aes Sedai sworn to him. He tells them that Merana will speak for them and they are to take their orders from her. Min tells him she has had a vision and that these Aes Sedai are his truly. He weaves a bridge to the ship and sets off across it, announcing to the Sea Folk that he is the Dragon Reborn and the Coramoor. Harine says that may be true, but he insists it is and she agrees, saying the Coramoor may come aboard, which Merana tells him has given him an advantage. They try to get him on his own, but her takes Dashiva, Merana, Rafela and Min with him.

Rand tries to get it over with quickly, telling them that he is the Coramoor and they will serve him, which she agrees with, but says they must still make the Bargain. She thinks the Aes Sedai are doing something to make her reveal so much, but is told it is in the presence of the Dragon Reborn. Min sees an image and tells Harine she will be punished that she will be punished for what happens but will be Mistress of Ships one day.

Rand tells them what he wants - they are to carry men, supplies and news when he wants, wherever he wants, and to keep a lookout for the Seanchan. He leaves, telling Merana and Rafela that they must make the Bargain for him. Merana protests that he should stay and let being ta'veren work for him, but he tells her to negotiate and leaves, intending to deal with the rebels.
