When my Aunt was a young girl
She was quite a dancer
When her eyes fell on
Gregory Al'Eral
He proposed to show her he was quite a romancer
She swore she'd show him the world

And it was a rainy day
When we walked through the forest
Fog an mist shrouded their way
A thick mossy blanket covered the ground
She was glad to get way from the noise of the fires
He was glad to be free of the strife of the town.

He said "My love don't ever leave me-
Come away with me to the heart of the town.
And there among my sister and cossets-
We shall summon the Wisdom and we shall be wed."
But she replied "I can not go beyond yon fur tree
I have no love for the strife of the town
But come away to the Vlonaces and Rustics (Mean Small Town Folk)
We'll dance together with the musicians and by the fires we shall be wed.

Near said then a word
They just embraced each other
And became one in the mists of the woods
And they got up and left together
Left the noise of the fires, and the town strife
They disappeared into the woods together
And before the light they were husband and wife.
