Bashere argues with Elayne if she should tell the men she carries the children of the Dragon Reborn. Using gateways the army of Light fills some of the basements in the city with oil and set them on fire. Evin tells Androl that Taim's men broke him and learned of Androl's plan when they came looking for Emarin. Pevara tells Androl telepathically that they were dug out of the dirt room because Taim hasn't met his quota of Turned Dreadlords yet. Evin is Turned and tells Androl that Nalaam died in the cave-in. Emarin is taken to be Turned next and Androl thinks that Nalaam was lucky to have died in the cave-in.
