A Symbol of Power (Poem)
Author: Alondrian Heartsbane
Some say that the wheel turns on the top of the white tower
All because you are wielders of the power
Even the white cloaks cower
At the strength of the white tower
You play political games
And never show your shame
Some look at you with disdain
But none would question the power in your name.
The grace of leopards is the warders walk
And men who see them can only balk
Though it is rare to see them talk
They are as deadly as a viper and as swift as a hawk.
And with the ageless looking Aes Sedai
Sworn to the three oaths, one which they cannot lie
No one can say what their ageless faces hide
And many crave the wisdom inside.
For there is much to say of the white tower
But to say the least she is a symbol of power.
