Alis works as a serving woman in the Tarasin Palace in Ebou Dar, Altara.

When Mat goes to check on Olver and see how he is settling into his rooms in the Tarasin Palace, he sees three serving women fussing over him. Olver is paying them compliments; according to him, Haesel has the most beautiful eyes, and Alis and Loya are so sweet that he could never choose between them. Alis stops unpacking his saddlebags long enough to give him a broad grin.
