Arent is an Ogier; he is the son of Halan and the father of Loial (TEotW, Ch. 36). Arent is also an Ogier Elder; when he learns that Loial has a Talent for treesinging, he insists that Loial learn (TEotW, Ch. 42). Arent has met the Green Man and he talked about it often.
