Ashelin is a novice of the White Tower.
She is a plump, pretty, olive-skinned girl from Altara.
One morning when Egwene, as a prisoner in the White Tower, goes for breakfast, all of the novices stand upon her entrance out of respect for the fact that she has not yet broken. Ashelin darts into the kitchen and returns with a tray for Egwene. Instead of handing it to Egwene, she even sets it down on the nearest table for her and offers a suggestion of a curtsy as she backs away.
