Asidim Faisar is a spy for the Children of the Light. Niall sent him to Tarabon to gather information (LoC, Ch. 31).
Niall receives a message from Varadin, stating that he helped Faisar to hide from the Seanchan in Tarabon. Niall thinks to himself that Faisar knows nothing about Varadin, and Varadin should know nothing about Faisar (LoC, Ch. 31).
Faisar sends a message to Niall, who reads it just before he dies. He confirms Varadin's previous messages saying that Rand is "a rabid beast" and has to be stopped, because he presents an even bigger problem than Aes Sedai (ACoS, Prologue).
