Balwen Mayel was also known as Balwen Ironhand. He was the last King of Aridhol. During the Trolloc Wars, Balwen was upset over how the war was unfolding so he began turning to Mordeth for advice. Balwen grew to trust Mordeth completely and Mordeth convinced him to use the Shadow's tactics against the Shadow. Mordeth's advice eventually led to the downfall of Aridhol.
