General
Barel Layden is the High Seat of a minor Andoran House. He is one of the nobles who opposed Gaebril (LoC, Ch. 28). He supports Elayne's bid for the Lion Throne (KoD, Ch. 17).
Timeline
- Reene Harfor tells Rand that several Andoran nobles, Barel Layden among them, have arrived in Caemlyn. He has not presented his respects at the palace (LoC, Ch. 28).
- Barel rides to Elayne's support when Arymilla begins the siege of Caemlyn. He does not turn back on learning the odds (KoD, Ch. 17).
