Author: Zara Ravenwood

Ansel was a dancer
on the Seanchan land
all she ever dreamed of was
to hold a leash in her hand

And the sky would be golden
And her dance would be grand
And all her dreams of greatness
could be reached
with an a'dam in her hand.

It was upon a feastday
When the sul'dam came
She stood upon the pathway
Looking for some girl to train

And the sky would be golden
And her dance would be grand
And all her dreams of greatness
could be reached
with an a'dam in her hand.

She tested them all
And she tested last Ansel
"You'll make a find damane," she said
And patted her on the crown.

Whenever your tasks seem endless
and the Mistress of Novices makes our life hell
Remember you your colored sisters
And sul'dam dark and wild

And the sky showed ashen
And her day were filled with pain
And all her dreams are of freedom
but her life belongs to blue bodiced woman
with an a'dam in her hand.
