General

A river vessel with square sails built for passengers and cargo. The captain is a man named Chin Ellisor. (TDR, Ch. 37)

Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne travel aboard the vessel from Southharbor towards Tear posing as Aes Sedai. Due to the Captain’s eagerness to impress the three with speed, the boat hits a sunken ship five or six miles shy of Jurene and is stuck. Nynaeve requests they be put ashore to walk the rest of the distance to Jurene as the Captain cannot tell how long it would take for the sweeps to free the ship, or how long it will be for another ship to pass by (TDR, Ch. 37).

The Gray Gull passes by and ignores the calls for aid to help free the ship (TDR, Ch. 40).
