General
Cail is an apprentice to Kin Tovere, the lensmaker; he is a year older than Rand. Cail helps Kin set up telescopes atop a tower for Rand near Cairhien before the battle with the Shaido (TFoH, Ch. 41). After the battle, Kin and his apprentices go through the rubble of the tower where the telescopes had been (TFoH, Ch. 45).
