==General==

Chiape was the [[Sh'boan]] of [[Shara]], a kind of absolute monarch, before [[Graendal]] snatched her away to keep as a pet. She is a very dark-skinned and very beautiful woman with curly hair.

She was newly widowed and about to make [[Shaofan]] her [[Sh'botay]] - the male equivalent of a Sh'boan. She would have ruled for seven years, then died and Shaofan would have chosen a new Sh'boan and would have reigned for seven years himself, so Graendal told [[Sammael]].

She insists that the deaths that happen every seven years to the ruling monarch of Shara are the Will of [[the Pattern]].
