General

Chiarid is a Maiden of the Spear who follows Rand.

She is old enough to be Rand's mother, with merry eyes and blond hair. She sees Rand as a younger brother who needs to be kept from getting too big for his hat, and usually likes to make jokes at his expense when they are alone.

Chiarid and Harilin are standing outside of Rand's rooms in the Sun Palace of Cairhien when he awakens. Chiarid follows him down to the Traveling chamber while Harilin runs for more Maidens. Once they are in the Royal Palace in Caemlyn, Nandera dismisses all of the Maidens except for herself and Jalani.
