Chin Ellisor is the captain of the Blue Crane. He was born in Tar Valon and has a round face.
Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve board his ship to sail down the River Erinin, until they run aground on a mudflat. Believing that the three women are Aes Sedai, he is afraid that they might blame him for the incident. When they want to be put ashore, he suggests the Andoran bank, because of the war, but they firmly insist on the Cairhienin bank. He does not want to argue with them, of course, and has a rowboat readied for them.
