Col is a horse handler in Valan Luca's menagerie. He is Tairen, bent-nosed and heavy-shouldered with a thick mustache. Mat sees him gambling with another horse handler and then ducking out of the way when he and Egeanin pass, as the last man to be overly suggestive to her had a knife drawn on him.
