Chapter 5: The Forging of a Hammer

Setting: Altara; Perrin Aybara's camp following the Shaido Aiel who kidnapped Faile, his wife
It has been twenty-one days since Faile was taken. In that time, the Shaido have gained a lead because of a mistaken trail, but no longer. Selande makes a report on Masema's camp. The Prophet of the Dragon is following Perrin. Selande tells Perrin that Masuri Sedai is visiting Masema in the night. Balwer thinks that Masema is making deals with Whitecloaks. The Two Rivers men in the camp are angry at Perrin. The cause of this is not explained. The camp begins readying to move on.
