The Damona Mountains are a mountain range in Altara, close to the border with Murandy, formed during the Breaking of the World. Like most ranges created then, there are few safe passages through them (KoD, Ch. 25). When the only one that Vanin knew was blocked in a landslide, Mat was forced to go through the Malvide Narrows, a five mile gap in the mountains where the road from Ebou Dar to Lugard passed (KoD, Ch. 26), with the Malvaine Gap on the other side.
