Daughters of Silence

The Daughters of Silence were formed about two hundred years ago by two former Accepted. They gathered together twenty-three other women who could channel. They organized them and taught them as much as they knew. When they were discovered by the Aes Sedai they were immediately disbanded. The twenty-three sent were all sent back to the White Tower as novices. There have been a number of such groups throughout history, the Daughters of Silence being but the most recent.

The two Accepted that started the Daughters were severely punished. Saerin Asnobar was the only one of the Daughters that was ever raised to the Shawl. She was raised Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah and is a Sitter of the Hall (TPoD, Ch. 26).
