General
The department was formed after the 2004 Admin Meeting, initially under the auspices of the Amyrlin Seat. After Val a'Shain stepped down as Master at Arms, and the consequent re-organization of some departments, it gained its first director, Arisaema Draconis . Currently it is headed by Ubahsur Kindellaer
2004
The department was created along with several other departments following the Admin Meeting that year
2006
Arisaema Draconis was appointed director
2008
The Department of Real Life Services was disbanded and its functions temporarily moved into the Department of Administration
2009
Philanthropy and parties were taken out of the Department of Administration and the Department of Philanthropy and Department of Events and Conferences created to house them. The position of Shatayan as created as Chief Financial Officer and finance removed from the department. Ubahsur Kindellaer replaced Arisaema as director
